Description

Want to know everything there is to know about Plymouth?… then this probably isn’t the tour for you.

However, if you want to have a good laugh, explore a different side of the city AND get a bit of exercise in. Then this could be right up your street (especially if you happen to live in Plymouth).

A Plymouth Comedy Tour is essentially a comedy show on the move. One of our three locally sourced, free-range comedians will be your tour guide, giving you the lowdown on life in Britains’s Ocean City. In this hilarious guided walk you will see a different side of the city looking at the culture, the history and, of course, the way of the ‘Janner’!

Route
The Plymouth Comedy Tour route takes in both the city centre and the Barbican district. It has a different start point (The Box) and end point (Mayflower steps), and lasts for up to 2 hours. The route has and has been designed for both locals and tourists. For visitors it’s a light-hearted way to explore the city and to learn more about the ‘real Plymouth’. While for residents this is a great opportunity to see a different side of our city as well as having a laugh at Plymouth’s (many) quirks.

Basically, the tour is perfect for people who want to see more of this city but prefer jokes to facts!

If that’s you then get ready to giggle, explore and smash your 5,000 steps…

After the year we’ve had, a bit of comedy was much needed and I wasn’t disappointed! Myself and my wife went for a pre comedy drink in the Caffeine Club and met our comedy hosts afterwards outside The Box in Plymouth. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much whilst wandering the streets of Plymouth! Who knew there were so many pasty shops? Our comedy hosts were hilarious from start to finish… is that art, is it graffiti, who knows? The highlight for me has to be the Janner bingo, simply genius 😂 Thank you so so much! Will definitely do this again and will tell everyone I know.

I had a very funny walk around Plymouth with these guys and also learnt a lot too! Would recommend to anyone as an alternative to visiting an attraction. Very interactive Christian, David and Suzy are great fun people to spend a couple of hours with. I would definitely do it again!

Friendly, warm hearted, playful and surprisingly informative. The comedians combine witty one liners with a laid back attitude, making the whole thing feel like a ramble with your funniest friend.

Really enjoyed the tour today very funny and some interesting facts. The team all bounced off of one another and we had a great laugh. We had quite a large group of people with us who all seemed to be enjoying it too. A nice walking pace and distance ( around 2 miles ) starting and finishing at the box museum. Would recommend to anyone looking for a walking tour that’s a bit more fun.

The comedy walk tour was hilarious. We had a few funny games along the way too and I actually learnt a few things as well as being reminded of the past in a funny way.
The walk was at a manageable pace for most and at just about 2 hours long was perfect. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes a giggle 😄

We went on the tour today and it was just brilliant. Not only do you learn about a few things our fantastic city, you get two hours of very funny entertainment.

The comedians are hilarious, catching on to things that will have every local laughing as well as people not from the city.

Whilst walking, you aren’t left bored, they have Janner Bingo where you have to spot things along the way to get a line or 4 corners to win top prizes. Full House gets you the coveted Plymouth Kebab Shops calendar so not only do you know where the best kebabs are, you also know what day it is. Fantastic.

So, I recommend you all have a craic at this to get two hours of great entertainment and learn a bit more about our great wee city.

Never been on a comedy tour before. Never even knew you COULD go on a comedy tour before. So glad we did.
Excellent, unique and so funny. We learnt some unusual facts about Plymouth, played games and doubled over through laughing.

Really lovely tour guides as well. We were in quite a large group but as well as being really funny and entertaining, the comics still took the time to check up on us as we walked around the town.

    Highly recommended

This is the stuff about Plymouth you won’t find on google!

I hadn’t been to Plymouth before but I feel I know more about the beating heart, culture and history of the place than I thought I would ever get on a walking tour. That’s not only because with this one you avoid the obvious sights, but because the tour guides are professional comics and you laugh your way around.

Every fact and local insight was delivered using humour and this means it’s not only entertaining but you remember more… and you get to play Plymouth Bingo as you go around too, for a very, very exclusive prize.

I loved every minute and as it’s family friendly too, I’d recommend it to everyone!

A jolly 2 hour wander of about 2 miles around Plymouth city centre in the company of 3 friendly comedians. I would recommend this to visitors and locals who fancy a giggle and want to learn more about the city and get answers to the most important questions such as.. Where to buy spicy spuds, how to find the sexual health clinic, the winner of the ugliest building in UK, play Janner Bingo to win the Amazing Kebab Shop Calender, how to speak to the locals and best alleyways.
If you like a laugh – book it!

We saw this advertised online and thought it would be a good and novel way to spend a summer’s evening. Having never heard of a comedy walking tour before,we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but we were certainly not disappointed and have already recommended it to friends. A leisurely 2 hour stroll around Plymouth city centre , with frequent stops to point out local points of interest, accompanied by an amusing commentary throughout. As a wheelchair user I found the route to be totally accessible, with drop kerbs included. There is one more very small section of cobbles, which could easily be avoided if that posed a problem. So all in all we are very glad we spotted this. Well done and good luck with this new venture.
